Coco Yogo is one of these Dubai based brands that you simply have to try on a (raw) vegan diet! To me it can’t get any better than having locally produced vegan treats, which are raw, dairy-, gluten- and soy-free.
Coco Yogo’s products are mostly coconut based and range from Ice Cream, Cheesecake and Yogurt to Coconut Butter and Cream Cheese. You can get their all-vegan products in a couple of different locations in Dubai or order via their website for home delivery. They are available at the Ripe Food Market, in most of the Organic Supermarkets and also at Freedom Pizza. The first time I tried one of their products was at the Bio Organic Store in Tecom – after doing groceries I got the raw and vegan vanilla and chocolate Ice Cream. It’s a quite small portion and I think I paid around 40 AED for it. As most of you know, it’s always nice to have vegan ice cream – but when trying this you need to be aware of the fact that this ice cream is coconut based. It’s without any doubt delicious and of ice cream like texture, but you can taste the coconut base a lot.
The other two vegan desserts I tried I ordered via Freedom Pizza – the Strawberry (and Mango) Cheesecake and the Banoffee Pie. The Cheesecake is a layered dessert consisting of a gluten-free almond mixture, topped with a cashew cream filling and strawberry compote. They offer various other flavors such as Mango, Date and Orange, Very Berry and a Plain Cheesecake. This has been my favorite vegan treat from Coco Yogo so far – it’s fresh, sweet and creamy at the same time!
The Banoffee Pie is a layered dessert as well – it consists of Cashew Cream, Bananas, Avocado Cacao Mouse and Raw Chocolate and Cacao Nips. Even though I absolutely love sweets – this one is really sweet especially due to the ripe bananas! The mixture of Cacao, Bananas and Cashew Cream is a satisfying dessert!
Coco Yogo’s allergen-free (but not nut free) desserts are a vegan must-try in Dubai – if you don’t have the time to visit the Ripe Market, order for a home delivery or simply as a dessert after your Freedom Pizza (the only vegan pizza with vegan cheese in Dubai). Let me know if you have tried any of their other products – I’m more than curious to find out how they are!
